Happy New Year!

Our family had a great visit to Balboa Park a few days ago where we had the pleasure of attending the Dr. Suess exhibit at the San Diego History Center. I was reminded what an inspiration to all of us Dr. Suess was. He was an optimist, yet not afraid to go against the grain and challenge the status quo. He called us to action to be kinder, more creative, passionate people and to believe in our dreams. What an awesome legacy he left! I believe the exhibit runs through next spring, so go check it out if you can. Dr. Suess exhibit

As another new year begins, let us be lofty in our dreams & not afraid to reach for the sky! Cheers to all of us who will be thriving to be more positive, respectful and effective in our parenting in 2015. If you need some additional support, here are a few great options to consider joining or investing in:

1.) Private family coaching. Individual half-hour or hour sessions can be done via Skype, phone, or in person and are wonderful ways to get support with your unique family situations. Four packs are a great investment for the year! (see paypal registration link on right side of page)

2.) Take a positive parenting pledge: parenting pledge

3.) Enroll in a positive parenting course. I have three upcoming courses this spring in North County San Diego. Contact me for dates & plan to attend! Courses are three sessions (three hours each).
If you can't find time in your schedule, my good friend Susie Walton has a wonderful online course she teaches called "The Joy of Parenting". She has a great free four-video series that gives you a glimpse of her amazing teaching style!

4.) Enroll in a weekend self-growth course to highlight the light in your heart. These are weekend courses that do wonders in helping you love yourself more, thus helping you to parent the way you really WANT to....with patience, empathy, compassion, intention and wisdom : ) Freedom to Be & Remembrance Course Links

5.) Invest in health...take care of yourself! Find time for exercise and healthy eating. This does wonders for your brain and body, which then allows you to parent the way you want to! Here are some of my favorite resources:
The Virgin Diet & Lifestyle, The Balanced Life Pilates (online videos), Egoscue Therapy (physical exercises great for pain relief), The Whole Journey Nutrition Services, Farmer Leo's Organic Farm (Encinitas, great weekly CSA program!)
